Wesley High School Visits Geomatic Engineering Department

The final year students of Wesley High School from Bekwai in the Ashanti Region paid a one-day visit to the Geomatic Engineering Department . The visit was purposely to learn more about modern trends in surveying and have a practical feel of both old and new surveying instruments and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The students were warmly received by the Department and introduced to an array of instruments including; Tapes and Gunters' chain, Level instrument, Digital Theodolite, Robotic Theodolite , Prismatic Compass and Total Station. They were also introduced to projects done by students of the department using GIS.
